Mission

Shriners Hospitals for Children - Los Angeles is dedicated to providing personalized, developmentally appropirate care for children with Orthopaedic and Burn Reconstruction needs free of charge regardless of race, sex, creed or naitonal origin. Our staff is committed to assisting patients within the context of their family and community; achieve self-reliance and personal growth while being actively engaged as "Healthcare Leaders", in providing education and research within our community. We honor diversity, encourage open discussion and respect the parent and child's right to participate in the planning of their care. We recognize that excellence in patient care is the result of an interdisciplinary effort requiring collaboration from all members of the health care team. We hold ourselves accountable for demonstrating performance improvement in all aspects of care while caring for the child, family and our staff.

Where they work

Primary region is Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona & New Mexico. In addition Northern Mexico and work with 17 countries around the world. Children are referred to us for treatment through various organizations from around the world with specific areas in Russia, Lithauania, Middle Eastern countries of Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Africa and Iran. From the Far East Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Phillipines, Korea and China.
