Central American Medical Outreach, Inc.

THEIR PURPOSE

Mission

CAMO is a non-denominational Christian organization providing medical equipment, community service, supplies and training to the impoverished regions of Central America. It is the vision of CAMO to be a leader in providing and integrating safe medical equipment, related medical education and volunteer trainers in Central America. We work in partnership with our developing country counterparts to identify and implement all programs. The quality and commitment of our volunteers and services is recognizd as the best avavailable. Specifically in regards to prosthetics and orthotics, CAMO runs a non-profit prothetic and orthotic clinic in Honduras that has trained a local prosthetist and is able to fit the local population with high quality individually made prosthetics and braces. CAMO also supplies three other clinics in the country with supplies. Through our counterpart system, the US project manager volunteers his time to train and supply our local clinic with the appropriate technology and education.
